Softday / Your information

Privacy, with room to breathe.

Here is how Softday handles the things you plan, save and choose to share.

iPhone & iPad · iOS 18+

Effective date: 6 October 2026

Softday is published by Deep Play Studio LTD. This policy describes the iPhone and iPad app being prepared for its first App Store release. Contact us at info@deepplaystudio.com with privacy questions.

What you put in Softday

You may save task titles, notes, lists, checklists, deadlines, first actions, planned dates, focus progress, and task history. The app also saves preferences such as language, time zone, work hours, capacity and notification choices. These are stored on your device in the app’s local storage.

Softday does not require an account. This release does not send task text to a Softday server and does not include advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Reminders and widgets

When you choose a task reminder, Softday asks iOS for notification permission and schedules it locally on your device. A deadline alone does not schedule an alert. Reminder delivery depends on iOS notification settings and device conditions. Lock screen reminders use a generic message in this release.

The optional Softday widget uses a small local snapshot of your Now and deadline items, including task titles and short details, shared with the widget extension on the same device. If you place a widget on a visible Home Screen or Lock Screen, someone who can see that screen may see those task details.

Backups, exports and system copies

You can save a JSON workspace backup in Softday’s local Files folder or choose another Files location. You can also export a CSV task list. These files may include task titles and notes. You decide where exported files go, and a destination such as iCloud Drive may process or store them under its own policies.

iOS device and iCloud backups may copy app data outside the app under Apple’s settings. Softday does not operate an automatic account sync service. Restoring a Softday backup replaces the current workspace and may create a local safety copy of the previous one.

Keeping and deleting your data

Deleted tasks can be recovered from Trash in the app until removed there. To remove app-owned data on a device, delete Softday from that device. This also removes files saved inside the app’s local Softday folder. Files you exported elsewhere, iOS backups, and copies held by a destination you chose must be managed separately.

We do not hold a developer copy of your local task workspace that we can retrieve, edit or delete for you. For help finding or removing local or exported data, read Softday support.

Messages you send us

If you contact support, we receive the email address and details you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request. Please avoid emailing task backups, private notes or other sensitive details unless they are needed for support and you have removed information you do not want to share.

Changes to this policy

We will publish changes here with a new effective date. The Softday page describes the current release scope, and the support page provides contact details and help.
